Expert Answers about Trailer GPS Tracker

  • Battery Life and Charging Time For The Linxup GPS AT3 Tracking Device
  • I spoke to Linxup and they informed me that if the battery is completely drained on the Linxup GPS Tracking Device # 300-AT3, that it would take between 4-8 hours to fully charge the battery. Once charged the battery will last up to 3 months as while siting it will report its location once a day. When the device is moving it will report its location every 10 minutes which will cause the battery to be depleted sooner if it is not charging while in use.

  • Replacement Pin For Swing Away Tongue On a Tracker Boat Trailer
  • A 5/8" pin is the most common diameter used for a swing away tongue. There are different length pins for different height frames. The only one we currently carry is for a 5" tall frame, for this you will use a Pin # F500336. Be sure to verify both the height and diameter for your specific coupler as they can be different between model years and model trailers.

  • How to Find Replacement Hub For Bass Tracker Pro 170 Boat Trailer
  • I'm sure we can get you a hub assembly for your 2015 Bass Tracker Pro 170 boat trailer, though I could not find any information regarding what specific one this trailer requires. So in order to find the correct hubs you will need to take apart your current hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them. If you are unable to find them, you need to use a digital caliper and measure your spindle...

  • Plug In Play Wire Harness Vehicle End Location For 2004 Chevrolet ZR2 Tracker
  • Great question. This happens sometimes depending on what factory the vehicle was made in. You are not far off from the plug. You need to go one panel closer to the front of the tracker. You will need a screwdriver and a trim removal tool. You will find the connection point either zip-tied to another harness or just taped to the inner wall. You can then plug in the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55372 and route it going back to the jack...

  • Is Bias Tire and Wheel for Tracker Pontoon Boat Trailer Good for Highway Travel
  • The Kenda Loadstar 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire w/ 10" Solid Center Wheel - 5 on 5-1/2 - LR C # AM3H453 you referenced will work just fine for highway travel. We generally recommend going with radial tires for extensive highway travel, but because I assume you have a Tracker pontoon boat trailer, this tire and wheel is going to be the direct replacement you need. I do recommend you make certain you keep the tire inflated to its maximum 50 psi to ensure the best performance but it will be...

  • Is New Solar Charger Needed For 200 Amp Hour Lithium Battery
  • I reached out to Go Power, who supplies most of our solar equipment, and they said a new solar controller is not necessarily needed for a 200 amp hour lithium battery. They said newer controllers should have a lithium profile charging option, but even if it does not, older controllers with the AGM profile will still charge the battery, but it may not top it off. So if your current controller has a lithium profile you are good, otherwise I do recommend a controller designed for use with...

  • Can the Go Power DuraLite Charge A Jackery 500 Generator?I have a few questions regarding this pa
  • Yes, the Go Power DuraLite Portable Solar Panel with Digital Solar Controller # GP66FR is compatible with your pre-wired ZAMP port on your trailer, and you will not need any additional adapters. You may also want to check the polarity of your Zamp plug as they have been known to wire things backwards. I have included an FAQ that goes into a bit more detail on this. For your Jackery 500 it is not recommended to bypass the included charge controller however this panel does has both an...

  • Will the Post Style Guide-Ons for Boat Trailers Provide a Secure Support Guide for my Pontoon Boat
  • I spoke with my contact at CE Smith and she said that the 13 inch measurement is from the outside edge of the trailer frame. If your 2008 Sun Tracker Fishing Barge extends 11 inches past the outside edge of the trailer's frame on each side, the Post Style Guide-Ons for Boat Trailers, # CE27620, will still have enough extension to provide a secure support for the guides. Something else you may want to take a look at would be the Post-Style Guide-Ons for Pontoon Boat Trailers, # CE27670....

  • Repacking Hubs for Boat Trailer 2003 Tracker Dual Axle
  • If you have not repacked the bearings since new or in the last 2 years I would definitely repack the bearings. The time it takes will be quickly forgotten when you are out on the road and assured that your trailer is safe and not going to cause you problems. Because boat trailers are backed into the water they are subject to getting water in the bearings and breaking down the grease inside. If the boat is backed into the water when the bearings are still warm from transporting the boat...

  • Will Tongue Weight of Boat Trailer be Increased using Curt Drawbar # C45014 on 2007 Toyota Camry
  • I know that there are many factors that go into the different towing capacities between countries for your 2007 Toyota Camry including trailer requirements, towing conditions, liability, and laws. I recommend consulting with your local dealer regarding the towing capacity of your vehicle. Using the Curt Class II Drawbar, # C45014, will neither increase or decrease the tongue weight of your 2014 Bass Tracker Pro and trailer. The tongue weight of your trailer would remain the same. Although...

  • Are Any Other Components Needed To Operate The Go Power DuraLite Portable Solar Panel
  • The Go Power DuraLite Portable Solar Panel with Digital Solar Controller # GP66FR is a portable system that comes with everything you need to connect directly to the battery. It comes with a variety of different connectors so you'll most likely be able to plug right into the connector on your trailer if it's an SAE or XLR-style connection. The solar charge controller that's wired to the panel will control the output of solar power to the battery so nothing else would really be needed. If...

  • What Benefit Is Higher Gear Ration For Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch
  • The 17.3:1 ratio is normally used when you have a heavier load or boat you want to winch in. Sort of like the gears on a bike. When going up a hill you put the bike in a highwer gear so it is easier to reach the top. when on a flat surface you drop it into a lower gear so it gets more power with less effort. The lower gear of 5.4:1 for the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch, part # DL14825 will probably work great for most of the time with your aluminum boat, but if you are ever on a steep incline...

  • How Waterproof is TorkLift TLA7700L Battery Box
  • According to the folks at TorkLift, the # TLA7700L battery box would be considered water resistant, not waterproof, as all batteries need to be able to vent. The don't offer a battery box that's 100% waterproof for that reason. My TorkLift rep tells me that they've received feedback from customers that have used self-stick weatherstripping on the lid of the box to help seal it which works well to keep water away from the wiring connections at the terminal. I've linked to a product description...

  • Locating Reverse Light Circuit on 2003 Dodge Ram
  • In my research, I saw several mentions that Dodge liked to use a purple wire for the reverse lamp circuit. However, I wouldn't recommend taking this as gospel. The best practice is to wire by function, not by color. Unfortunately, I don't have any documentation of wire color codes. The # 20135 you referred to plugs into the tow package wiring. The wire in the harness behind the 20135 that connects to the center pin of the 7-way connector will carry the reverse light circuit, so you can...

  • Solution for 14 Inch Tires Rubbing Against the Fender
  • We do not recommend using spacers because it can cause otherwise avoidable issues with your tires and hubs. There are not smaller 14 inch tires and because you do not want to remove the fenders the best option is going to be replace both your wheels and tires with a smaller capacity. The most important thing to know before doing this is what your hub's bolt pattern is. The most common is 5 on 4-1/2" although if you are unsure you will need to take some measurements to find out and I have...
